Giving Back with Samaritan’s Purse- Operation Christmas Child!

At Pecan Deluxe, we believe in making a difference in the lives of others, especially during the holiday season. That’s why we are proud to support Samaritan’s Purse and its incredible mission, Operation Christmas Child, through both financial contributions and hands-on involvement. This year, we are honored to once again serve alongside Samaritan’s Purse in spreading joy and hope to children around the world.

A Tradition of Giving Back

Each year, Samaritan’s Purse collects shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other essentials to be distributed to children in over 170 countries. For many of these children, the Operation Christmas Child shoebox is the very first gift they’ve ever received, making it a symbol of love, care, and hope. Since 1993, more than 220 million children have been blessed through this global initiative, with every box serving as a tangible expression of God’s love.

The Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are collected not only from the U.S., but also from countries like Australia, Austria, Finland, Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The global nature of this effort speaks volumes about the collective compassion and commitment of people around the world coming together to make a difference.

Pecan Deluxe Joins the Effort

One of the most rewarding ways Pecan Deluxe supports Operation Christmas Child is by volunteering at the Samaritan’s Purse processing center. Every year, a team of dedicated employees become Christmas Elves and help inspect thousands of shoebox gifts, ensuring that each one is carefully packed and ready for international shipment. The processing center is where these generous gifts are prepared for their journey around the world, bringing smiles and spreading joy to children in need.

For our Pecan Deluxe team, this volunteer opportunity has quickly become a cherished tradition. The hands-on experience of sorting and inspecting shoeboxes is not only meaningful, but it also allows us to see firsthand the incredible impact Samaritan’s Purse is making across the globe.
