One of the most rewarding parts of running a successful business is the degree that it enables us to give back to the causes we care about.
On this page, you’ll find information about these organisations and what we are doing to support them, as well as our other fundraising ventures.
We have joined forces with cancer patient Jacqui Drake to help meet her goal of raising £1 million for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre, a.k.a the Bexley Wing of St James’ hospital in Leeds.
Jacqui has been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and is determined to fight her battle with the power of positive thinking.
She is an inspiration to all of us here at Pecan Deluxe and we are delighted to be able to support her and her noble fundraising efforts.
Pecan Deluxe Europe is based in the historic village of Sherburn in Elmet, and we have given our support to the local community by investing in The 100 Club.
The 100 Club was established in 1976 by members of the Sherburn gala committee, to initially help restore the local All Saints Church. Today, it helps to maintain Sherburn’s annual activities as well as creating a small grant initiative to support other local causes.
Investing in the community is important to us here at Pecan Deluxe, and we’re pleased to be able to support The 100 Club.
Pecan Deluxe Candy is a proud sponsor of the annual Sherburn in Elmet Craft & Food Festival.
Now in its second year, the festival takes place over the August bank holiday weekend and will have over 100 craft and food stalls, along with professional cookery demonstrations.
The festival is supported by a number of local organisations and businesses and all profits go towards the community.
It’s a truly enjoyable event and we’re excited to sponsor it again this year.
Our brave employees are participating in the Yorkshire Marathon Corporate Relay on Sunday 14th October 2018 to help raise funds towards Jacqui’s Million.
With plenty of interest in the company, our employees will be split into two teams, Pecan Deluxe Candy and the Pecan Deluxe Nutters, each running separate legs within the 26-mile race.
Please support us if you can – any help is greatly appreciated!
By investing in The 100 Club, we are helping to support the local community.
The 100 Club organises Sherburn in Elmet’s biggest events throughout the year, including the Christmas lights, children’s discos, CCTV installations and the much-loved minibus visiting scheme.
The investments from local businesses ensure that these are kept running year on year and we’re thrilled to be contributing to the longevity of The 100 Club.

On Friday 26th January, our Managing Director Graham Kingston acted as a brilliant compère for a special 80’s night in aid of Jacqui’s Million.
The event raised an incredible £3400 towards Jacqui’s campaign and £1 million target.
Pecan Deluxe donated a fun prize towards the event – a magician’s hat full to the brim of our delicious dairy fudge pieces!
On Saturday 30th June Pecan Deluxe sponsored the second Positive Vibes Cabaret Concert, organised and choreographed by Jacqui Drake to help raise even more funds towards her campaign.
The concert was held at City Varieties Leeds and over £8400.00 was raised during the matinee and evening performances.
Well done to everyone involved – it was a great day filled with entertainment.
As part of our sponsorship of the Sherburn in Elmet Craft and Food festival, we are joining forces with chef Howard Middleton of Great British Bake Off fame for an exciting series of cookery demonstrations.
The Festival returns to Everlsey Park August Bank Holiday weekend and we are are providing a selection of Pecan deluxe inclusions to compliment Howard’s bakery skills.
